water pumps out the city water fitting

I bought this 99 Heritage Laurel last fall. We have only used it a couple of times. I had to use the pump for water this week and it pumped out the city water fitting. Is there a valve I need to close, or is there an automatic check valve that should be stopping that?

There is a check valve built into the city hook up, it must be broken. The city hook up must be replaced. I had one break on my Qwest pup.

The spring might be just jammed. Dig the cone screen out of the fitting with your finger and press the small plastic part in a few times and it might correct itself. I had the same issue this season.

What he said on trying to get the check valve to seat properly. In the mean while put a hose cap over it until you get repaired and camp on!
