What model is this?

Just bought a 1976 Jaco tent trailer. The VIN number is S17630359. On the title under model it says cmp. Jayco can't tell me the model and I want new canvas. Can anyone tell me what this model is?

Do have any pictures? Measure the box. That will help give an idea of the model. They came in 8ft, 10ft, 12ft, and back then they even had a 14ft with dual axles. I think they even had a 6ft at one time.

Try this site.

http://www.popupcamperhistory.com/jaycoimages.html#

There is a 1978 brochure where maybe has your floor plan. At least it is some fun reading.

Here is a good site to get a generic manual for 1976 Jayco.

Not to raise alarms but I'm questioning the year of that trailer. We had a '73 for a while and it did not have the frame over the wheel, it had a wheel well. Here's a thread with photos of what a typical '76 Jayco PUP looks like. My '73 looked the same.

I'm thinking you've got a '69 or older. Photos from that era look like your trailer. I think someone horked with your title.

You may be right. That 75 definitely looks a lot different.
