What would you do?

Imagine you pull into a campsite. you plug into power and start raising the roof. What would you do if your electric lift motor smoked and stopped working halfway up while raising the roof?

I'd start with a few choice curse words then proceed crank it up manually.

I didn't get a manual crank with mine. do you have to disengage the motor somehow or just start cranking it.

If that don't work hopefully you have enough room to get in side and crash!

Smoking the motor means the whole lift mechanism is lacking lubrication>>>>means neglected maintenance.

I didn't actually smoke the motor, I was thinking about what I would do in case something like that happened- so I figured I'd ask the group. how often should you lube everything? once a year? more? I didn't know I could put a hand crank on the gear box.

Oh the jokes...but I'm an adult so I lube everything based on the amount of use. More use More Lube. The motor is nothing more than an auto crank.

Glad to hear motor is OK, You can even put a drill on it..............your choice. Always be prepared for breakdown.
