Where to find pop-up rentals

Hi, I am very interested in a 2010/2011 Baja 14f. I've seen lots of pictures and videos but have yet to see or use one personally. They seem to be pretty rare - I'd love to rent one for a family vacation in April/May. Does anyone know of a place in the southeast I could rent one of these or would any owners be interested in renting theirs out? Thanks in advance for any help!

A while ago I considered renting a popup to try it out, see if the family liked it. After a reading of the rules, i.e. return clean (well, I wanted to camp on the beach), return by 10 am or pay for the day (i'm camping 4 hours away).. I decided it was too much hassle and just bought one of my own. I wasn't looking for a specific model, but a specific feature set, though. And since I was already leaning toward buying something, I figured I'd just apply the rental cost to the camper.

Any mid sized city should have a rental option or two.. And I imagine some dealers do rentals too.

There is a local rental company which we rented a travel trailer hybrid from last summer. It was a pretty good experience and everything went fairly well, but they don't have anything like this particular camper I am interested in. If it were a regular pop up, I think it would be pretty simple but this one has several unique features and convincing my wife it would be a great family investment would be a lot easier if we could find one to rent. I asked one dealer and they don't do rentals but it would be worth contacting others to see if any of them do.

Finding a rental of that age might pose a tough task too as many rental outfits rotate stock to keep customers happy. My suggestion would be to rent a popup with similar characteristics, i.e. bed layout and amenities or not. Then up sell the Baja unit and why that suits you so much better. It's easier to make the sale if there is an issue with the rental which will help you dial in on what amenities or options you really must have. Getting out there in a unit is different then actually walking through one and picking it.

Just my 2 cents...good luck.
