Camped here last fall. Were in a boondocking site first night. Pulled in at night and made the mistake of looking for a site in the dark. Got stuck with our rented trailer so parked it for the night. When we woke up the view was A-MAZ-ING! Great for birders. Moved to full hook up spot next day. First nights in full HU were during the week and very few people around us. Had deer in our campsites every day. Also had CA quails, wild turkeys and raccoons. Once it filled up wildlife disappeared to a distance. Lake is low but were still able to fish and go jetskiing. RV spots are walking distance to the beach. Brought dogs down there and they had a blast in the water. Saw a group of Turkey Vultures just hanging out on the ground. There is a nice playground by the RV spots and clean bathrooms with showers. Would definitely go back. FYI, no cell signal. Weak one at the rec center.
