Hello Wonderful that DNA testing has come about. DNA has helped connect where a family has thought I was not a member due to a quiet unofficial adoption.
I like being on the road and catching up (DNA or otherwise) and how convenient that we need not impose. The invites can go both ways. RV Parks that offer an event room are great. We have a table for papers, pictures or computer; there is less stress for either side and it can go from there. At times it is a life long connect; and in others it has waned due to distance, lack of communications with non techi users or a lack of further interest. For me, immediate family had little interest in heritage. It wasn't until parents died and 1/2 us kids were gone that it was an accepted subject. It is nice to have added more helping hands to our wonderful story!
My newly acquired assistant (my brother), will be doing Y chromosome testing soon. This should open up my paternal side of the family-a 20 yr roadblock.
