X2 on what Wilcut said. There have been discussions in this forum on this subject. To recap: run your house furnace while on the road (yes that means having propane on and an open flame in the furnace. Run your inverter with a small electric heater (750 watts max) plugged into one of the dash elect outlets.
Hang a curtain behind the driver/passenger seats to keep the dash air up front.
A key element if you are going to be driving in cold weather is to run your house furnace prior to departure and get the whole unit nice a warm. Don't expect the dash air to make the whole unit comfortable whether it is summer (AC) or winter (heat).
