Ey there folks,
Got a bit of a question for ya'... first, our background. We just purchased our first motor home, the 2016 Alante 31V after camping for years in TT's pulled by a 2008 Toyota Tundra with the 5.7. Handling the steep grades with the Tundra was great because of the 6spd auto trans with the manual shifting abilities allowing me to downshift easily using all 6 gears.
I have no clue as to the capabilities of the Triton V-10 and 6spd trans that it comes with. Shifter says PND421 and I really don't want to start downshifting this unit as freely as I do the Tundra until I have a clue as to what I can and can't do.
Shortly we plan on heading across into Oregon on I-5 and I heard there are a few pretty tough grades and I would really appreciate any instruction or info you all could help us with.
I've got a whole bunch of stuff I may need to be asking ya'll shortly...
Thank ya' much,
Randy
