kjtrot, CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 31UL & WELCOME TO THE FORUMS.
I have no experience with the macerator pump so I can not help there. Jayco introduced the macerator on the 2016s, we have the old system. Hopefully, someone can.
I do not totally understand your question so I will try to give you some suggestions and hope that it helps. If you are new to the RV world, it is a strong recommendation to have a pressure regulator on your shore water source. I attach directly to the faucet....that way my hose is not exposed to high pressure. Different RV park....different water pressures. Although the tubing used for your RV is probably strong enough to withstand higher pressure, it might not and that would cause a real nightmare.
5/8" hose allows for the best volume of water. There are water hoses available that are RV specific and are made with materials that are safer than "garden hoses".
