In Ark we stayed at Bull Shoals State Park, NW of Mountain Home, AR. (Excellent park, highly recommend a stay should you be in the area.)
Our next stop was in Mo. at Osage Beach Riverside RV Park. Not recommended. Reason: unfriendly hosts, run down park. Lots of full timers, worst part (no reflection on the part of the park) just happened to be Bike week in the area. At least 1.2 bikes per camping site. Very noisy. The bikers were OK but engine noise at 1-3 AM was unbearable.
Our next stop was the Double J Campground and RV Park in Chatham, IL, Just south of Springfield. Highly recommend this park. Visit Lincoln’s Home and neighborhood.
Next stop was Elkhart campground, Elkhart In (RV capital of the USA/world?) Nice Park and a great area to explore. Visited the RV museum, Jayco Visitors Center and had a tour of the Motorized production line. (Only running Alante line of coaches) Decided real quick that we were glad we purchased the Precept 35UN.
