Hi Bob,
Part 1
- Crown is a great battery company. We need a little more information regarding the Ah rating of the batteries that you are planning on purchasing? I have 260 Ah and to me that is the lowest I would want to go.
- Here is where there are a lot of different opinions. For anyone that is purchasing SOLAR for more than just maintaining their batteries, I recommend nothing smaller than 200 watts of SOLAR. For us the 250 watt panel is as small as we could go. You can plan on 6 or 7 sunny hours a day, but in reality it does not work that way. Sometimes there are 2 or 3 cloudy days in a row, throw in a few rainy days.. and the 6 or 7 hours are not there. Some of the members have upgraded from 100 watt systems to 200 watts systems and are extremely happy with the results. I would not go for nothing less than 200 watts. 140 watts will not keep your batteries fully charged if you are using Tv and microwave.
