How's the camping there? It's an hour away from us.

Basalt Flats is on the south side near the reservoir - camp sites are very nice, lots of trees in the campground area. Can get windy up by reservoir but October weather was FANTASTIC; as you well know, can get hot in summer (so bring the generators). Bathrooms nice and clean. There is the 2nd campground down by the slough/inlet and although I understand there are hookups, apparently it is rather tight and some have complained of bugs (roaches) that love the moisture.

Btw, RiverFront Marina has hook-ups and is in a gated community so very nice.
