Y’all
I’ve got a 2017 Alante 26x. I travelled 8700miles last summer to Western US. This year we want to spend 3-4 months in Maine and want some suggested campgrounds. Of course, we’re senior citizens or age restricted ok. Would like a month in western Maine( lake or River). Then 1-3 months over toward central coastal Maine( my bro is in Wiscasset area). Please give me the good, bad and ugly. Thanks in advance
There are a number of good RV parks in Show Low which is about an hour and a half from Springerville. There are a few in Springerville/Eagar. Those are more limited because of smaller towns. The problem is going to be availability beginning in a few weeks. It can get difficult to find a space for more than a week or two because of people like us who park the RV here for the Summer. We are in Alpine but you cannot get a space here for more than a few days, if that as they are booked a year in advance.
You might use the Good Sam RV travel app and start calling a few in the area you want to be. Some of the state parks like Fool Hollow are nice but reserved 6 months in advance, don’t have full hookup and are 14 day only. It gets tough. Much of Phoenix and Tucson wants to be here to get out of the heat.
I want to tow my 2021 Jeep Wrangler JL behind my 2017 Alante 26X. Has anyone set up their Jeep Wrangler with a bumper(plastic one are &#@) that is designed for towing, e.g. Rock Hard4x4? Are their other brands? What? I have towed 4 down for years a 2007 Saturn Vue. I have Blue Ox tow bar and an Evenbrake. I know that Blue Ox makes a base plate but I’m going to replace the cheap front and rear bumpers. All comments welcome
