- New to the camper trailer world. I've always favored sleeping on the ground rather than in a camper. My wife and kids finally convinced me that maybe a camper would be nice to sleep in ever once in a while. So after looking and shopping around, we went with a 1998 Jayco Eagle 12 UD ST pop-up camper. it was owned by an elderly couple so aside from normal wear and tear, it was in very good condition
