We were wanting to install extra cabinets in our 2017 JAYCO 22BHM. Our plan was to place the cabinets above the windows on each side. I have the schematics of the walls and the ceiling. According to the schematics there is no support above the windows so we thought about mounting to ceiling studs and gluing to wall. This camper has the magnum truss system. We used the stud finder to determine where the studs are located in the ceiling and also determined the wiring was near the lights in the center 10" away. The cabinets measure 30" wide, 11" tall, 9" deep. I do not have the wiring schematics as our camper is still under warranty. We talked to a guy who was going to help us with installation but he backed out saying something about some type of metal pipes or tubing in the ceiling. We watched the U-Tube video about the magnum truss system being built. It showed nothing about pipes and we don't know what he is referring to. Can anybody please explain?
Would like to install cabinets but according to the schematics the wall has no studs to mount. Is it possible to mount the cabinets to the roof??? This has the magnum truss roof system which is 50 percent stronger.
We have a 2017 JAYCO 22bhm. I read on the door that our model has an aluminum frame but after looking at the wall schematics I'm not as sure. It just shows where the steel backers are and location of some plywood beams. Anybody got any idea???
