For example, wherever I am when I have a problem, my dealer is my first and only call. When I purchased my first MH from him, I also purchased an extended warrantee with the understanding that he was responsible for my service, wherever I’m at. I made this agreement with the owner of the dealership. My 31 UL is the third MH I bought from him and this arrangement has been going on for 6 years. I don’t have the temperament to deal with complex maintenance issues. I hope I have given you a perspective that helps. Good luck

Hello, welcome to the community. Here’s my 2 cents. Dealers, that you didn’t buy from, should work on your unit, with or without a warrantee, although many people report having difficulty. You will run in to dealers who will tell you “we only work on units purchased here”. When you do, you will need to depend on Jayco customer service to find a Jayco dealer in the area you are in, who will work on you, or, a non Jayco dealer who can fix your problem. Keep in mind that the repair facility doesn’t have to be a Jayco dealer if there is none in the area you’re in. Jayco must authorize the work in advance. Due to the lifestyle/work style you have chosen you should carefully choose the dealer you buy from. Price should not be the main factor.
2016 Precept UP advise? Seriously considering purchasing never used model, but we will be working and living in our unit constantly for our business every weekend. Having never purchased a "new" unit and understanding that there can be numerous "kinks" and sometimes serious issues to work out, we are very concerned to buy new unit as traveling long distances to dealer or manufacturer would be extremely difficult, if not impossible for us. Will other dealers work on our unit? Should we play it safe and buy something a little more used? All thoughts GREATLY appreciated!!!
