Jayco Wiring issues - Safety problem
8 Attachment(s)
In certain Greyhawk and Redhawk Jayco forgot to secure the wiring leading to a possible electrical fire. Please see photos for examples. Some of the wiring is 120VAC and some is 12VDC. Please check your units and if you have a problem contact Jayco for warranty repair.

I have the same inferior craftsmanship (boy did I have to edit what I was really thinking) job with ours. We found two hot wires under the steps. That was also posted by someone in the tech section who just bought a 15 .. I think D S?

In reference to the last picture - of the air conditioner:

Somewhere I read that the AC gasket should be compressed until the yellow tab touches the roof, so perhaps your AC gasket is not compressed quite enough. Here's a thread on the subject.

Our 2015 Precept wiring looks the same. No wire ties, just thrown together.

If you call service they will pay the dealer to fix it all. It is a safety issue.

So I did s little more inspection.....what are your thoughts about the potential of this Orange wire pinching?

What we have here is,to make it past the warranty time frame, than we get to go in for a wire repair on our Dime ! it is a good thing that most every one here, has the ability to catch these items before they become a issue.....

If you are talking about the red thick wire they should be zip tied together and secured to the frame or other point to prevent chafing while driving.

30A cable did the same thing to me. Be careful what you replace it with, not all will fit through that hole in the bottom of your compartment. (lesson lernt')
