I was looking at the Maxx air for my x17z. Has anyone installed the Maxx air II with the hinge and if so is it an easy install on the x17z or should I just install the Maxx air?

I installed the II on my 23B...it was no big deal. From what I can tell from the installation video, brackets mount to the original roof vent the same way.

Airxcel | Maxxair | Standard Maxxair
Airxcel | Maxxair | Maxxair II

Make sure you install the hinge on a side that gives you room to open it.

I installed the Maxx Air II on my 17Z, was an easy job, took about 20 minutes. Works great and I like the hinge option.
