2nd Battery for a Skylark

Has anyone added a 2nd battery to their Skylark? I am having a problem fitting the 2nd battery in the battery tray to wire in parallel. The two batteries are too wide.

Can anyone help me out ...

Man this all sounds like overkill to me. I have a Skylark and I tow it with a Ford Flex Hybrid. I don't not have a WDH or even sway bars. I have towed it over 10k miles with no problems...

I bought a Slylark in May and pulled it all summer with a Ford Flex (hybrid).

I DON'T have a WD hitch or sway bars and don't have any problems. I do wish I had more power goiing up hiills but...
