We have a 2003 Yukon XL 2500 with the 8.1 engine. We have been towing our 32BHDS for about 8000 miles so far on a one year roadtrip and we are getting about 8 to 9MPG depending on the day and gas....

Thanks all for the responses. My unit is an Atwood which should be the aluminum as stated which is why no rod. Good to know! One less thing that you have to replace!

We just upgraded to a 2011 32BHDS. So far have only had one night camping in it but a couple of camping nights in the driveway!
