I'll second the twist lock cord - best thing I've done to mine. Easy mod except for access. I think they built the whole trailer around that little box.

They really are awesome! They also eliminated all of the condensation dripping on us through the night. We've upgraded TTs now, but we wouldn't camp without them when we had tent bunks.

I've never changed a slide out gasket, but, can you switch the top and bottom sweeps? Are they the same size with holes in the same places? May not be possible, but it's the first thing I'd try.
