Not worried. I pulled the screw, its just the head that is rusting. And I intend to trade this in a year and not look at Jayco again. But if I were keeping it that is probably the route I would go.

We tow our Whitehawk 32dbsh with a 1 ton Chevy van. It does a great job, we get round 9mpg on the East Coast (no real mountains).

I can't imagine towing this beast with less truck.

The screws just exist to hold the jack to the trailer when its up. If you ever make a mistake and the trailer starts to roll with the jacks down...

Its just a cosmetic deal.

That strip is cosmetic, the screws should be individually sealed. No rush, make the dealer replace the strip under warranty.
