I agree that it seems a little high for a towing package.
On the other hand you can spend a lot more trying to build your own towing package and then be disappointed in your rig.

Summer travel can be tough on old tires. I don’t think it’s worth the risk running them longer. I have had three sets of Firestone Transforce HT tires on my one ton dually with no problems at all....

Six years old and loving it! We are snowbirds and spend several months in our Eagle Super Lite. It pulls hard with my one ton Ford srw though. 6.2L gas engine gets about 7 mpg while towing.
