I believe RV’s are exempt from needing a transponder
But they are often mistaken for commercial because of size and you have to call in to get rate reduced to car rate after you get billed

No major issues, just the ussual little things, only return to dealer was to get longer arms on awning over the slide put on, the awning touched the slide and flapped against it in the wind

Trailer battery should have no effect on trailer brakes, they should work with no trailer battery they are in no way connected
