That happened to me as well, I used a different hose and it worked, so I hooked my air compressor up to the hose and blew thru it, and it had an obstruction, it worked after that.

I had the same problem, it worked the 1st time we used it last year when it was new, and then wanted to use it again and it wouldn't light, so, I took the hose off and hooked up to my air compressor...

Not sure, but I just grab one end or the other and pull down to where I want it and reach the black knob and tighten it, and it stays where I pulled it to.
