Our 26BHS has 30 amp and we've never tripped the breaker. The 30 amp cord is pretty thick, stiff and sometimes hard to put back. I imagine that a 50 amp cord would be more so.

We have a 26 BHS also, and had to strengthen the dinette. Our children probably contributed to the problem with the staples pulling out by sometimes climbing over the back of the bench.
