To do it correct, remove the motor and disassemble it and oil the sponge material around the bearing, then it will last. It is the same rule for all sleeve bearing motors.

Those sensor are already useless since the 70's so put a water hose on the discharge and close the black-tank valve (is normal closed) and open the grey-tank valve and see if you have a blockage.
