I’m not a fan either. I sprayed some WD-40 on them in the hopes they would loosen up. Multiple trips and a few thousand miles later and we still hate them.

Yep, I have the same B&W non-slider hitch set-up to 2” inches behind the axle. Not sure what the clearances are on a Ram but I have had zero issues backing and turning with this setup.
