I would replace it, the spring could be weak. You can perchase one at Lowe's, they're cheap. Just unscrew the old one and screw the new one on. The roof vent is needed when draining the tank.

Also check that the outside and inside shower cold and hot water valves are closed. If they are open and the showerhead shut-off is closed, this could cause this to happen.

I purchased a queen short memory foam mattress from walmart.com. I like it a lot. I believe most travel trailers queen size mattresses are queen short. If yours is 72" long , it is a queen short.

We just received a queen short 10" memory foam mattres from Walmart.com. Installed it and did a test nap on it. It is fantastic, as comfortable as the Tempurpedic in our home.
