I believe the aluminum blinds in the kitchen are for fire safety reasons.

The fabric ones are easily ignitable.

We have a 2017 Hummingbird 17RB and the dealer told us there is no manual crank. Apparently we have to move some wires ??? I'm not happy about that.

Perhaps someone else can confirm this.
