Thanks everyone, I must be missing the weather stripping above the door. I'll check out some options at Home Depot this weekend. The foam insulation idea sounds promising.

I just bought a used 2008 J series M806. I opened it at home to clean, organize, etc... and re-closed it. Then I noticed a strange 1/4" gap above the hard door that I don't recall ever seeing before...
