The only time I would use the inverter would be while driving. When "camping" (I call it "RVing" as we really aren't roughing it too much), we are always hooked up to a 30 amp power...

Nothing on the Control Panel that would indicate that I have an inverter.

Don't really want to run the generator.

Will probably go with the 12v DC to AC inverter and run an extension...

I'm thinking that I might just pick up a 200 Watt DC to AC inverter today and use the 12 volt lighter and run an extension...

RV newbie here. Wanted to do the same thing: allow the grandkids to watch the TV while we are driving. The TV is situated so I cannot see it while driving, so that is not an issue.
