Loose connection is easy (ish) to check and worthwhile since it requires no parts to fix. Listening for the ignitor click and/or attempting to light with BBQ lighter can help you diagnose.

Most people just make it zero by disconnecting the battery. Even a tiny drain will empty the battery during storage over time.

Yep, I've never seen the -100 stuff, and people who use the -50 stuff report no issues...
