Agreed. It's completely illegal in California once the water has hit the grey tank to drain it to the ground. I'd be surprised if other states don't regulate this too?

This is a common issue. Don't over think it. Unless you want to put a lift kit on your coach (joking), there is not much you can do aside from dealing with it. Pay attention to your entry/exit angles...

It took me a bit to figure out this issue too. What you need to do is set the wanted water temp with the water heater dial only. Then use the hot water faucet (no cold water) only for your shower....
