I would suggest you get the chassis battery load tested. The battery in my rig wouldn't stay charged, and I ended up replacing right in the beginning. They let these batteries die multiple times...

I cranked mine down to 2-1/2"... any extra stability is worth it. This is one of the FREE adjustments that can be done. Everything else requires buying replacement parts.

Yes... a fully charged battery won't be hurt by that cold. Remember, every car you see on the road in the Winter, has a fully charged battery in it, that sits overnight or days in that cold.

Exactly what I do too. I don't disconnect the batteries, in the rare case I have to move or use the rig. I just connect a battery tender to both house and chassis batteries, and they stay perfectly...
