Did you read the thread? I removed the rubber wipers and the problem is gone. Until I tried it I never would have believed rubber on glass could make a metal on meal type of stretching sound.

I think his point was that if a leaf spring breaks on a trip you are stuck on the side of the road until you get one. Even if they are a stock item at trailer parts companies you are stuck for days...

It will work with Lithium but they won't ever charge up all the way. If it is the Progressive Dynamic Panel you can buy a lithium converter and swap it in, it is very easy.
