Not hard at all to replace. Hardest part is getting the new one on top. Search YouTube for some great info. I used an extension ladder to slide mine up on top using a rope.

Does the proper access door have hinges and a latch? Looks like they either messed up or maybe ran out of gas/electric fridges and made it work but still not right. I would be very upset.
