A/C Bolts that are loose, many affected

I have had 3 rigs, 2 weren't Jayco and all the AC's were secured the same way. The place it attaches is more like thin metal and the "bolts" are more like long screws.
Biggest mistake you can make...

The screw that loosens is screwed into a thin tab of metal on the upper unit. I don't see any way to use lock tite.

You are not supposed to tighten those bolts more...

You are not supposed to tighten those bolts more than just snug and a little more. All you need to do is compress a rubber gasket. Over tightening may lead to more trouble later.

Inside cover is 4 Phillips head screws. Hold down screws are 4 small 3/8 or 5/16 in.
Caution, don't over tighten them, just enough to slightly compress the rubber gasket on the roof.

Good info I checked both my AC's today and both had at least 2 bolts loose.

Just took out the slack and turned about 1/2 turn more to snug. We had a heavy rain but no leaks even before this. ...
