I think I made a mistake in terminology here,...

I think I made a mistake in terminology here, it's the whole valve that needs to be replaced, not just the stem.

I called 4 different places today looking for a valve replacement, all said they'd be happy to do it (with prices ranging from $10 cash to $50!!) but only one of the 4...
