I crawled under the RV today and sure enough, just like Rob said, it was unsupported. I am thinking I can put several 1'' steel square tubes under the compartment floor and on top of the frame rails...

Personally I would really like having the gear lockout. I like having the ability to control what gear I'm in while climbing and descending. If we had the lockout I don't think I would have bothered...
