Someone should market a flexible sleeve to put the macerator hose in to protect it from wear; I'm thinking the same outer material that the expanding water hoses use.

Knew it would happen and it did!

I did not have enough clearance to thread the ball valve on so I had to go with two slip on nipples and a short section of reinforced clear hose. A bit longer than desired, but works well to isolate...
