It is easy to shorten the chains to keep them...

It is easy to shorten the chains to keep them from dragging. You just need to twist them until they do not drag on the ground. This is what I always have done.

For you new camp trailer and 5th wheel owners make sure you block your trailer tires before you unhook from your tow vehicle. Also make sure you unhook your safety chains before you try to pull away...
