That small tab is located in the well of the handle and the end will protrude beyond the edge of the door when actuated

I'm reading that so many people are using props...

I'm reading that so many people are using props to keep the fridge door(s) open. I believe that most of the newer rv's have a built in slider near the handle to keep the door(s) open when stored.
