I have a truck like yours with the duramax never noticed any sponge brakes and previous trucks were good too.That kind of problem would be serious like factory recalls

Didn’t quite understand what you meant by getting used to the brakes takes more to stop this trailer does it not have good trailer brakes can be set up to stop the truck for you almost?
