Thanks AZMarine. You covered it in total. I have taken visitors from out of state and out of country to both the South and North. By far guests enjoyed the North Rim but it is a trip from Phoenix....

Firstly you have to go to Williams on 40 if you are going to the south rim.
Secondly, you will NEVER get away from the crowds at the south rim. Maybe the heat but I would not recommend June-August...
