I needed to mount a 22" TV in the lower bunk of our 284BHS. After looking at the wall where the TV was going to be mounted, I decided that I did not want to drill 2 big holes and use Toggle bolts. The wall would not support the TV mount as there are no studs in the wall. So, I decided to approach the problem from a different angle. I went to Home Depot and got a piece of 12" x 36" x 1" wood, a couple of 1 1/4" x 5/16" flat head bolts, nuts and washers. I measured the distance between the ceiling and mattress base and took off an additional 1/8". I drilled and counter sunk 2 holes in the panel for the TV mounting bracket. Bolted the TV mounting bracket to the board and put a few layers of duct tape over the flat heads of the bolts, in case they somehow rub against the wall. I then took a 1" x 2" piece of wood that I had and used 2 # 8 finishing wood screws to mount it to the bunk area ceiling. I allowed enough room between the wall and 1x2 for the thickness of the panel plus a little extra. This allows me enough room so that I can slide the panel out when we are getting ready to travel. So far works GREAT, and I did not have to drill 2 large holes in a wall that would have warped sooner or later. All the pressure is placed on the 1 x 2 at the top and not on the wall and the matress keeps the bottom of the panel pushed up against the wall. Here are a few pictures of the ALMOST finished project; it needs to be stained to complete the job. I would assume that if needed, an additional one could be made for the upper bunk area also. I did not have the time, but Home Depot has a SOLID OAK panel on their website for under $10, but not in the store. I may order it in the future. I needed to test the project so I laid down, turned on the TV and woke up an hour later. TEST "OK"!!!
