Factory RV 12V Installations and Boondocking Part 2

All,

Thank you all for the great feedback on part one of this write up. I finally got around to getting part 2 done and thought I'd share!

Factory RV 12V Installations and Boondocking Part 2

As some of you may have noticed I've been posting a fair amount in the electrical threads here and other RV forums. Well, I am getting tired of writing the same things over and over so am hoping I can use these write ups to help people along.

I greatly appreciate you letting me use your knowledge as a sounding board as I worked through this thing.

Let me know what you think!

Chakara,

Thanks for the write ups, they are very informative and I enjoy reading them. I have 2 questions for you.

1) When you have (2) 12v batteries wired in parallel and you use a multimeter to measure voltage at the batteries are you measuring each battery independently or at the terminals connected to the TT and assume each battery will discharge at the same rate?

2) What LEDs did you go with? How much per bulb?

Thanks

If they are wired up when you measure them, it doesn't matter which battery you measure across, you are measuring them combined.

On the LED's, I bought these: These eBay bulbs but it doesn't look like they are available anymore.

When I finish my LED writeup, I'll recommend going out on eBay and buying a few different types to test out - before you order a whole bunch of them. At $5 each, it's worth the investment IMHO.

Chak, thanks for putting that together. I will bookmark it and will use it for a reference.
Btw, that's quite the handle you gave your blog. I had a good laugh.

LOL - yeah, I bought that domain many years ago. Finally found something useful to do with it!
