Cell phone/internet

Hi all,
I recently installed a cell repeater on my 26BH. We often camp in more remote areas and find we have signal but not enough to get a constant call through. I bought a zBoost, stuck 16 foot of PVC (disassembles into 3 pieces to store). Put the antenna on the end of the PVC and now I get cell calls and internet (MiWi from Verizon) just about everywhere. All this costs about $300 but because I work while I'm out it's paid for itself the first time out.

We too have been looking at "boosting" our AT&T iPhone 3G reception. (phone/internet).
Its intermittant, and very slow at our Camp Resort. WiFi there is in the works, but still being delayed due to Cable provider.

Any insight to our delima would be appreciated !

Hi ByDesign and hausknwa,
I bought 3 parts for my home (AT&T just couldn't get my phone to work right for 3 years, so I dropped them and got this instead).

Here are the 3 components I needed for my repeater.

The base unit comes with everything you need if you have a strong outdoor signal and just doing one or two rooms (this is the only piece you need for the trailer). These aren't the cheapest prices, the sites are just for reference. (I bought the base unit directly from zBoost, it was the cheapest)
zBoost YX510-PCS-CEL
http://www.amazon.com/Wi-Ex-YX510-PC...3882360&sr=1-2

You may not need this if you have a real strong signal outdoors.
Wireless Extenders zBoost Dual Band Outdoor Signal Antenna for YX510-PCS-CEL
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00..._ya_os_product

You may not need this if you are doing one or two rooms.
Wireless Extenders zBoost Dual Band Directional Indoor Base Unit Antenna Upgrade for Use with zBoost and YX500
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...ef=oss_product

The prices just around as to who has the cheapest, I use amazon to find out who has the price of the day.

Good luck guys!
Jim

Really??? I was using DirecTVs version and then Blue(whatever, getting old) and hated the delay between people talking. I use it for business when I'm out and couldn't have them treating the phone like an old ship-to-shore radio. With HuehsNet you don't get the 0.5 to 1.5 second delay?
