New (to us) 2011 25 BHS

Well, we did the deed this morning. We walked around the 25 BHS and then walked thru the 2012 26 BH (which felt small) and then went back and spent an hour or so just hanging out in the 25 BHS to really get a feel for it. The dealer even hooked up the shore power and turned on the furnace so we could enjoy ourselves. We are quite happy with the purchase of the used 25 BHS.

Photos to come after I upload them to photobucket.

They are ready to go camping!

We purchased a weight dist hitch for it and when we take delivery of it we'll purchase that larger grab handle that you see on the 2012 26BH, I like that much better than that small handle that is on this unit.

Congrats! Looks like yoiu have some extra counter space in that model also. When will you take it home? What's the plans for the maiden voyage?

We are not sure. We can keep it there until "camping season" starts. We are thinking about the first voyage to be to Chicago (3 hours away) some time in April, so we can camp and check out all of the sites to see in Chicago.

Congratulations on the new trailer. It does look a little chilly there.

My favorite parks are Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, WI; Devils Lake in Baraboo, WI; and Kohler-Andre in Sheboygan, WI. There are plenty of others, but those two are my 'go to' parks when I can get out for a couple of days. Check out this LINK for all the state parks that accommodate rv's in Wisconsin. Feel free to PM me if you have any other questions.

If we don't camp in the driveway as a family, I'm sure my kids will want to do it.
We've never tried kayaking but might be up for trying that too.

Thanks Dmax! I'll have to revisit this once the season gets rolling.

Chicago has a great adventure tour kayaking through the waterways that snake around through downtown Chicago. It's best to do the guided tour as you learn so much about Chicago and it's past. I think our tour was two hours. You can google 'kayak + Chicago' to see what companies currently do the kayak tour. Here's one just to get an idea.

We actually did the Chicago Loop Cruise 3 years in a row with our boat and it was great! I don't know about taking a kayak cruise in April - might be a little chilli. LOL
I'll check out the link. Thanks!

Congrats on your new Trailer. We are seriously looking at the 25bhs as well. We love the big slide out. What helped you decide on the 25bhs.

We had it narrowed down to a 26BH and the 25BHS. We took the kids (2 boys) with us this past Saturday. We spent a few minutes in the 25BHS and then went right into the 26BH. Tried to move around the 26BH with all 4 of us plus trying to figure out where our 75# pit bull would fit into this place, just felt it wasn't right for us. So we went back into the 25BHS, had the boys bring their DS and iPod to play with and just hang out. The 25BHS just felt more comfortable for us.
