The reviews of the dealership I chose seem to praise the dealership.
That's a positive sign. Everyone deserves a good dealer.

We've got two 30# propane tanks on our TT, and stay on FHU sites about half the time, from late May to middle September, so our furnace doesn't get used a lot during the season. At the very least, we have electric sites, so our water heater and fridge aren't on propane unless there's an outage, which does happen. So with that said, and mostly using the propane for our outside stove (grill has its own 20# tank), we've filled one tank once in 12 years. Usage depends on the individual circumstances. We're probably an exception to the rules.

I scanned the replies and didn't see lithium batteries mentioned. A quality lithium will cost about 3 times what the dealer will charge for a single lead battery but will provide double the amp capacity, lighter weight and much longer lifetime with no maintenance. Try reading up a little. I like the basics at the Renogy website under the Learn titles. Many youtubes to find the basics.
We camped at Great Sand Dunes several nights with snow and furnace use each night and never ran out of battery as I added 200 watts of Renogy solar to my 100 amp battery.

Of course you bring up a good point. But starting out the investment can be scary when you are just getting started. Plus as the topic evolved we learned that the majority of his camping would be campgrounds. with FHUs. So the risk of running low on battery power is pretty slim, IMHO.

Now add that to what I have read and learned for the knock off lithium batteries, mainly from China there are some issues of safety. There are some areas of concern that the stamped on AH do not always stand up to scrutiny when you try to extend your off the grid range.

Battle Born batteries are very expensive. But they seem to be pretty stable and used in the higher priced rigs. I suggest to people that they use their units for a while and watch their current needs.

My last comment is that you can buy a lot of lead acid batteries or even AGM batteries for the price of the better Lithium batteries.
